The PsychIfe Mental Health First Aid Club is a student-based organization in the Department of Psychology, OAU. We exist to empower students with the knowledge and skills to provide basic mental health support to their peers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our History<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The club was established in 2024 by psychology students who identified a gap in accessible emotional support on campus.
With the guidance of licensed clinical professionals and senior staff advisers, the first cohort of student Mental Health First Aiders was trained in October 2025.
The club now functions as a structured system of student support, advocacy, documentation, and referral.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Our Objectives<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
\n

Equip psychology student members with practical MHFA skills.
Provide safe, confidential, evidence-based peer support.
Advocate for mental health awareness throughout OAU.
Collaborate with professionals, faculty, and student bodies.
Build a referral network of licensed mental health practitioners.
Establish a safe-space culture within classrooms, hostels, and faculty areas.
Conduct workshops, outreaches, and first-aid response training.
